The on going construction at Mount Sinai Hospital is an outstanding example of renovating a prestigious world renowned hospital that never closes its doors and insists on the maintenance and upgrading of its facility for the benefit of its patients.
The hospital made the decision to renovate one of their oldest buildings on campus. The Klingenstein Pavilion, is the hub for the OBY/GNY labor and delivery suites, as well as the daily facility for the Infusion of severely ill cancer patients.
Our team was united in the challenge that the scheduling and/or phasing of this work, along with the research and development and the approval and acquisition of the materials, was the primary factor. This project, as with all hospital work, required a consistent steady approach without delay.
When it involves the health and safety of the patient and staff the complexity of maintaining a controlled environment while replacing major HVAC systems, refinished rooms and replacing furniture requires complete concentration.
Once the project was started and all the planning was followed as per schedule, the Hospital was pleased along with the patients, and made our team proud of our ability to complete a very rewarding job.
